Tech expert Andrew Tabona has been promoted to Senior Vice President for Cybersecurity at Moody’s Corporation’s Edinburgh offices.

Mr Tabona joined Moody’s Corporation as a Technical Support Analyst in October 2013. He held said position for around a year-and-a-half before he was appointed Senior Technical Support Analyst.

Over the next seven years, Mr Tabona enjoyed a series of promotions which saw him serve as Cybersecurity Analyst, Senior Cybersecurity Analayst, Assistant Vice President for Cybersecurity, Vice President for Cybersecurity, and most recently, Senior Vice President for Cybersecurity.

Headquartered in New York, Moody’s is a global integrated risk assessment firm that empowers organisations to make better decisions.

The corporation employs over 11,000 workers across more than 40 countries, thus combining international presence, local expertise, and over a century of experience in financial markets.

Before joining Moody’s, Mr Tabona built up a wealth of experience in the tech industry.

From 2003 to 2018, he held a series of roles at Malta-based company GFI Software. These include Software Tester, Support Escalations Team Lead, and Technical Support Manager.

During that period, he also served as a Freelance Technical Writer at SolarWinds MSP, Acunetix, Altaro Software, WinDeveloper Software, Uniblue Systems, and TechGenix.

Between 2012 and 2014, Mr Tabona served as Guest Lecturer, Speaker, and Lecturer at the University of Glasgow.
