Andre Bartoli on Tuesday announced that he has been appointed Director of Sales & Marketing at The Westin Dragonara Resort.

As a result, he will take over from Edward Bonello, who following more than 20 “incredible years” at the St Julian’s hotel, and over 14 years in the position, called time on his career at The Westin Dragonara Resort.

Mr Bartoli noted that it is “both an honour and a privilege” to take on this key role and form part of what he described as an “incredible property leadership team”.

He has worked at the hotel for more than 16 years, having most recently served as Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing, a position he held for the past four years. Mr Bartoli was also Account Director of Leisure and E-Commerce, together with Sales Manager, among other roles. He had originally joined as Food and Beverage Supervisor in 2007.

He extended his thanks to his longtime former colleague and friend Mr Bonello. “Your leadership and contributions have been invaluable to the excellent results the hotel has achieved over the years, and I am truly appreciative of the solid foundation you’ve helped build,” Mr Bartoli explained.

He also proceeded to thank the hotel’s General Manager Michael Camilleri Kamsky, together with Marriott International Director of Digital Field Marketing Pavlos Foskolakis and Area Director of Sales and Distribution David Bartlett for entrusting him with the role and for their support and guidance.

“I feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by such a talented and dedicated team and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we work together to achieve continued success and deliver exceptional experiences to our guests,” Mr Bartoli continued.

He expressed gratitude to everyone who was part of his journey at the hotel, and concluded by saying that he looks forward to “connecting, collaborating, and achieving great results together”.

The Westin Dragonara Resort is a five-star hotel in Malta that features 408 rooms and suites which have recently been renovated as part of a €40 million investment. The hotel first opened its doors to the public in 1997 and caters to both business travellers and families by offering a number of amenities in an “enviable beachside position”.
