“Having led the company’s license application in 2018, [Mr Dawson] has an in-depth knowledge of all areas of the company’s operations and set up,” ZBX Exchange wrote.

“[Mr Dawson’s] background in custodial banking, cross border business, corporate service provision, and wealth management fits naturally with the strategy and operations of ZBX Exchange. Congratulations, Ian. We wish you a lot of great achievements,” the company continued.

Founded in 2018, ZBX Exchange is built with and powered by the technical solutions from Zillion Bits AG – a Swiss-based exchange solutions provider.

The company’s founding team – located across Malta, Switzerland, and Sweden – holds a broad experience in traditional financial service, IT, and cryptocurrency sectors.

Since 2014, Mr Dawson has also stood at the helm of Perennial (Malta) Ltd as Managing Director. The Malta-based business consultancy company aims to provide a ‘compliant, professional, confidential, and tailored service to clients, their families, and their businesses.’

The ZBX Exchange CEO’s past experiences include Co-Founder and Partner at Dubai’s EuroMed Capital, Management Accountant at Sodexo’s Pharmaceuticals Division, and Safe Custody and Settlements at Manchester-based BNY Mellon.
