With a background as a former Vice President of Operations, Mr Galea played a pivotal role in steering the company's expansion towards a 5-Bay Operations structure. Throughout his career, Mr Galea is described has having consistently delivered operational successes in various executive management positions. Notably, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Mediterranean Aviation Company Ltd (Medavia). Additionally, he shared his wealth of knowledge as a visiting lecturer at MCAST’s Aviation, Engineering, and Transport Department, actively contributing to the development of the next generation of aircraft technicians. Mr Galea's appointment as a member of the Aviation & Aerospace Business Section of the Chamber of Commerce Malta continues to emphasise his highly regarded profile within the industry.
Mr Galea was pivotal to the success of SR Technics Malta moving in its cutting-edge hangar facility at Hal Farrug, spanning an impressive 34,000sqm. He now envisions expanding operations to encompass a 6-bay facility within the next two years. The company currently employs a dedicated workforce of 430 professionals, specializing in comprehensive heavy base maintenance services for the Airbus A320 family narrow-body fleet.
A prominent figure in the market, SR Technics Malta remains committed to its leadership position. The pursuit of additional aircraft type approvals forms a pivotal growth target for the company, aligning with Mr Galea's vision. On his appointment, Daniel commented,
