Michael J Agius

Michael J. Agius, Senior Manager at Grant Thornton Malta’s Transaction Advisory Service department, took to social media to bid the company farewell after nine years.

“Today marks my last day at Grant Thornton Malta. It was a pleasure and an honour to be a part of the GT success story, a place which will forever have a special place in my heart,” Mr Agius wrote.

The former Senior Manager started his journey at Grant Thornton working as a Senior Executive in the Transaction Advisory Service department.

Over the years he was promoted to Assistant Manager, Manager, and as of last January, Senior Manager.

His work at the company mainly revolved around business and asset valuations, and assistance with raising finance – both through bank finance as well as capital markets.

Throughout his time at Grant Thornton, Mr Agius built up a varied portfolio of clients appertaining to different sectors such as hospitality, healthcare, real estate, and retail.

The former Senior Manager holds a Bachelor (Honours) in Economics from the University of Malta, ACCA certification, and an Advanced Valuation Certificate from New York University.
