Alexia Aquilina has been named Head of People and Culture at Malta International Airport (MIA).
Her new role comes a few months after having joined MIA, as she joined the airport in April 2024 as an Human Resources (HR) Manager.

On LinkedIn, she describes herself as being skilled in training, management, recruiting and HR.
Throughout her career, she held the role of HR Manager at AHEX, Malta Marriott Hotel and Spa and Marina Hotel Corinthia Beach Resort.
She was also a Trainer at Melita Training and Resource Management, and HR Executive at Corinthia Hotel Malta.
Ms Aquilina has a Bachelor of Arts in Italian and Psychology, a Higher Diploma in Psychology and is a certified Digital Marketing Professional. She also has a Master of Science in Organisational Psychology from Birbeck, University of London.
