The GreenBiz Awards 2025 are returning to highlight Malta’s micro and small business community, honouring those at the forefront of eco-conscious innovation and sustainability on the island.

The curated event showcases Malta-based entrepreneurs who weave sustainability into their operations, offering practical, everyday solutions that protect the planet while driving profitability.

Supported by APS Bank plc and VisitMalta, the awards inspire Malta’s business community to pioneer a greener future.

Honouring achievements across five categories

The GreenBiz Awards celebrate achievements in:

  • Household – Eco-friendly home solutions
  • Beauty & Wellness – Green, cruelty-free personal care
  • Food & Drinks – Plant-based and sustainable culinary innovations
  • Green Entrepreneur of the Year – A new category celebrating visionary leaders from any sector (hospitality, tech, retail, mobility, and beyond) driving measurable environmental impact

Shaping Malta’s eco-friendly future

The inaugural GreenBiz Awards in 2024 drew over 35 applicants and culminated in a vibrant awards day, hosted by TV personality Clare Agius. The event featured an exhibition of green innovative products, a plant-based lunch, a panel discussion with special guests, and compelling final pitches.

The Audience Choice Award, voted live by the audience during the event, added an extra layer of excitement.

Judging panel

The 2025 awards will be evaluated by a panel of experts, each bringing diverse expertise and commitment to sustainability in their profession. The judging process is highly transparent, with clear criteria and open scoring to ensure fairness and trust.

How to apply

Small businesses with less than 50 employees are invited to submit their application through the official GreenBiz Awards till 12th July 2025.

Submissions should highlight eco-friendly practices, such as renewable energy, plastic-free operations, or sustainable supply chains. The new Green Entrepreneur of the Year category welcomes founders and CEOs making a tangible environmental impact, whether through innovative products or community initiatives.

Awards ceremony

The ceremony will be taking place on 13th November 2025, at the Notch Conference Centre, at the Urban Valley Resort in San Gwann. Malta’s business and sustainability leaders will gather for an inspiring day of speeches, networking, and a vegan brunch that reflects the event’s eco-conscious ethos.

This event will also honour purpose-driven businesses led by passionate and courageous founders who have boldly balanced profitability with positive environmental impact. These enterprises prove that sustainability and success go hand in hand, setting a powerful example for Malta’s green future.
