BNF Bank has approved the nomination of Izzat Nuseibeh as its new Chairperson, following the retirement of Michael Frendo at the end of July.
In an official announcement, the bank said that his appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
A British national, Nuseibeh is a seasoned international banking executive with more than four decades of experience across corporate, private and institutional banking in the Middle East and Europe.
Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in corporate banking, wealth management, sovereign wealth fund relationships, treasury and capital markets. Mr Nuseibeh has held senior leadership positions with leading international financial institutions including BLOM Bank Qatar, Barclays Bank, Credit Suisse, Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank.
He has also worked closely with government entities, institutional investors and high-net-worth clients across the Gulf region.
Mr Nuseibeh has additionally been appointed as a member of BNF Bank’s compensation and nomination committee.
The bank also announced the re-confirmation of Sheikh Jassim Feisal Q.F. Al-Thani as Deputy Chairperson. He has been appointed as a member of the compensation and nomination committee, the risk and compliance committee, and the credit approval committee.
Prior to this post, he worked in business development
