Alan Cuschieri, Co-CEO at CC Finance Group, took to social media to announce the launch of Moneybase – what he referred to as ‘Malta’s first Neobank’.

“Moneybase is a powerful platform for all things finance, offering transactional banking, instant payments, physical and virtual cards, as well as access to over 20,000 investments all under the same ecosystem. All our customers save when spending across the globe thanks to great FX rates,” Mr Cuschieri explained.

“Today, CCTrader has evolved into Moneybase Invest, forming part of the Moneybase ecosystem, yet honouring its legacy of being a vast investing platform offering a great service,” he continued.

Launched in 2011, CCTrader was Mata’s first-ever online trading platform requiring no human intervention. Users of the platform enjoyed access to dozens of markets across bonds, funds, stocks, and ETFs.

“It’s been an incredible journey so far, but we are just getting started with a super exciting pipeline ahead. I invite everyone to be part of this exciting journey, to join our community, and to have their say in shaping the next generation financial platform,” Mr Cuschieri added.

“I would like to thank our talented team who, together, delivering something truly special. I’d also like to thank [Co-CEO] Nick Calamatta for the support on this ambitious project which will undoubtedly change the face of Calamatta Cuschieri. Get ready for more,” he concluded.

The Calamatta Cuschieri Group is made up of four companies – CCFinance, CC Fund Services Malta Limited (CCFS), CCIM, and Calamatta Cuschieri Investment Services (CCIS).

Having been in the financial services industry since 1972, Calamatta Cuschieri nowadays employs over 160 workers and services more than 30,000 clients, making it one of the country’s largest financial services firms.
