Invent 3D Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Alexandra Sciberras marked four years since her company’s foundation.
Launched in 2018, Invent 3D is a local printing and additive manufacturing company aimed at servicing industries that are looking to expand in said technology.
“This time four years ago we still had printers in our living room churning out car keychains while [we were] fixing up our first 16 square metre office space,” Ms Sciberras wrote.
“I was also heavily pregnant with Caroline back then, so lots of changes were happening all at once! We’ve grown a little bit since then. From a team of two in a small space to a team of seven in a 500 square metre factory space,” she added.
Invent 3D has witnessed significant growth in recent years. Earlier this month, the up-and-coming company left its mark on local start-up competition Pitchora, where it finished in second place and took home €8,000 in equity-free seed money, amongst other things.
“Really happy to have come in second place, pitching Invent 3D’s new service where we help industries with product development from cradle to grave, essentially working as an outsourced R&D department to cater for their specific needs,” Ms Sciberras had written, celebrating the company’s achievement.
The COO runs Invent 3D alongside her husband, David Sciberras, who serves as the entity’s CEO. They started off with a single 3D printer in their living room before spotting a knowledge gap in the market and embarking on a highly successful business journey.
