David Curmi, Executive Chairman of Air Malta, has been announced as non-Executive Director of International Hotel Investments p.l.c. in a statement by Corinthia Group.
Effective from 17th February, Mr Curmi will replace hospitality veteran Winston Zahra, who has now retired.
Prior to his new role at Air Malta, Mr Curmi served as CEO of MAPFRE MSV Life, enjoying a long career as a financial services professional and corporate executive. Mr Curmi is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of the United Kingdom and a Chartered Insurer.
He is also a Director of Midi p.l.c., Deputy Chairman of Plaza Centres p.l.c., Director of QP Management, Member of the Board of the Doctoral School (University of Malta), Chairman of L.B. Factors Ltd (a Lasselsberger Group Company) and Member of the Board of the Insurance Protection and Compensation Fund.
The Managing Director stated that these appointments align with Vivian’s focus on technology, sales performance, and professional development.
