“While transitioning careers can be daunting, it’s also an opportunity for growth and exploration. And even though it’s more of a side-pivot for me rather than a complete shift, I’m still navigating the process of change,” she continued.

She admitted that parting ways The Westin Dragonara Resort, a place she called her “second home for many years” was “emotionally challenging.”

Ms Fenech Seguna had joined the hotel in 2003 as Recruitment and Administration Officer, before she was appointed Training Manager just three years later.

“I’ve had the privilege of working alongside a superior who has believed in me wholeheartedly and trusted me completely. I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with amazing peers, dedicated HR colleagues, and hardworking associates who have created a truly magical atmosphere,” she said, reflecting on her career at the hotel.

Ms Fenech Seguna added that over the years, the team has fostered a “culture of caring that extends far beyond the workplace” and has also celebrated a number of achievements along the way.

She proceeded to encourage those individuals interested to apply for the post as Director of HR, noting that it is of particular interest to those who are “seeking an environment where humanity and employee development are at the forefront, where teamwork and celebration go hand in hand.”
