Tamas Banyai

Tamás Bányai, CEO of local telecommunications company Epic Malta, took to social media to announce the launch of Epic 5G.

“Today we have announced the launch of Epic 5G with the fasted 5G speeds in Malta and the latest innovative technology,” Mr Bányai wrote.

“This comes as part of the launch of our brand-new mobile network that brings better coverage, higher speeds, and better customer experience to all our customers. Available today in the Sliema area, as we continue working on the nationwide roll-out in the coming months,” he continued.

Epic’s new mobile network is set to bring about fast speeds, wider coverage, and the latest innovative technology for local consumers and businesses.

This milestone is part of the company’s €40 million value investment in new infrastructure.

Mr Bányai has held his current position for just over a year. Before that, he held a series of managerial roles at local and international telecommunications companies including Vodafone Malta and Vodafone Hungary.
