The Farsons Group has won The Malta Chamber’s award for most inclusivity at the workplace.

The accolade was part of The Chamber’s ‘Premju Soċjetà Ġusta’ Awards.

Farsons Health & Safety Manager George Steve Darmanin accepted the award on behalf of Farsons.

Malta Chamber President Marisa Xuereb said:

“The workplace is an employee’s second home, where we spend a lot of time. Aside from being a place where we earn a living, it can also be part of our social lives.”

With this in mind, Ms Xuereb added, it was important for every worker to feel like an essential part of their workplace.

“The more an employer makes an effort to foster an inclusive environment, the more motivated and hard-working their employees will be,” she said.

At a time when retaining good employees for a number of years was a serious challenge, the relationship between a worker and their workplace was more vital than ever.

“We need to give more importance to the concept of belonging at the workplace, especially after the pandemic isolated so many people,” Ms Xuereb continued.

“Workplace diversity is a strength that many organisations are learning to appreciate more. Farsons is one such organisation.”
