Franco Calleja has been appointed Head of Customer Protection at FDJ United, the operator of France’s national lottery that acquired the Malta-based Kindred Group in 2024.

He brings with him over 15 years of experience in the iGaming sector, having last served as Head of Risk, Fraud and Payments at Richmond Atlantic, which operates ITV Win, a UK-regulated online gaming platform.

Mr Calleja entered the industry back in 2010 with a close to five-year stint at Unibet.

Unibet Group became known as Kindred Group in 2016, making Mr Calleja’s appointment something of a homecoming.

Throughout his career, Mr Calleja also worked with Sky Betting, GAMING1, GiG and 10 Ten Gaming.

FDJ United has more than 5,000 employees and a presence in around 15 regulated markets, offering a diversified range of games.
