Betsy Grima has been appointed as the Head of Risk and Compliance at the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).

She replaces Joseph Attard, who recently left the MGA to join gaming company Entain.

Ms Grima joined the MGA as a Risk Manager in 2020, having previously been a Consultant at Ernst & Young.

“It has been a fruitful year working with the best colleagues and I’m looking forward to contributing further!” she wrote.

The MGA is Malta’s gaming regulator, tasked with ensuring fairness and transparency to players using gaming services, preventing crime, corruption and money laundering, and protecting vulnerable players.

Ms Grima has also held various accounting and compliance roles at The Competition Ltd, KSi Malta, and KPMG.
