Ian Zahra has been appointed Director of International Tax at Deloitte Malta, where he will be focusing on domestic and international direct taxation.

He has been with Deloitte for over six years, and for the past two years he has been the Senior Manager of International Tax.

Mr Zahra is a lawyer by profession, and following his studies in law at the University of Malta, he graduated in international tax law from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands.

He worked on several engagements dealing with the Malta direct tax consequences of local and foreign companies in various industries.
