John Bonello Ghio has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer of Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, with effect from 1st February. 

In a company statement, Simonds Farsons Cisk said that Mr Bonello Ghio will work closely with CEO Designate Michael Farrugia, assuming responsibility for Farsons Beverage Imports Company Limited, the Group’s Sales and Marketing departments and the operations of The Brewhouse Company Limited. 

He shall drive growth across all commercial functions, strengthen market presence and lead brand and customer strategies. 

Mr Bonello Ghio started working with the Farsons Group in 2011 as General Manager of Food Chain Limited, where he successfully led the expansion of the restaurant business through the launch of several new outlets.

In 2015, he was appointed Director of Quintano Foods Limited and subsequently promoted to Group Head of Food Business. In 2022, he transitioned to the Group’s head office, where he took charge of The Brewhouse and led various strategic projects. During this period, he was also appointed Director of Farsons Beverage Imports Co Ltd (FBIC).

Last year, he was appointed General Manager of FBIC.
