LifeStar Insurance plc announced Joseph M. Rizzo’s appointment to the position of Non-Executive Director.

Mr Rizzo’s appointment came into effect on 7th December 2021.

The newly appointed Director will also be serving as a Member of the company’s Audit Committee. This means that said committee will now be composed of Mr Rizzo, Mark Bamber, and Joseph C. Schembri.

LifeStar Insurance noted that Mr Rizzo has ‘significant experience in insurance, reinsurance, and related areas’, having served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at a number of insurance and affiliated companies since 2017.

Mr Rizzo has also held board oversight roles of various approved functions, including but not limited to internal audit, risk management, actuarial, and compliance.

LifeStar Insurance is a provider of insurance products in Malta, offering customers a comprehensive range of protection, savings, investment, and retirement life insurance products.

The insurance company also operates a large network of Tied Insurance Intermediaries and forms part of LifeStar Holding plc.
