The Foundation for Human Resources Development (FHRD) has announced the appointment of Karen Muscat Baldacchino as its Chief Operations Officer.

Holding a bachelor’s degree in Communications and an Executive MBA from the University of Malta, Ms Muscat Baldacchino has recently completed a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing with the Digital Marketing Institute.

She has over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and the organisation of events, particularly within the M.I.C.E (Meetings, Incentive, Conferences and Events) sector, and was responsible for the organisation and coordination of several prestigious local and international events throughout her career.

Her most recent role was that of Sales and Marketing Manager at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, which she joined in 2001.

Over the years, Ms Muscat Baldacchino has built an extensive network of local and foreign clients and business partners. “Her curiosity, confidence and the need to be innovative, combined with a strong work ethic and an eye for detail, ensures successful and memorable events, and a motivating work atmosphere,” writes FHRD, in a statement announcing her appointment.
