Karl Galea took to social media to commemorate his 800th day as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at local telecommunications company epic mt.

“Today marks 800 days in the role at epic mt. For sure has been a marathon that felt like a sprint at many instances,” he wrote.

“Great to be on the ship with an unstoppable team of commandos,” he continued.

Mr Galea’s experience with the company dates back to 2007, when it was still known as Vodafone Malta.  He started out as a Strategy Planning Executive – a position he held for two-and-a-half years before being promoted to Online Services Senior Executive.

In November 2010, Mr Galea took on the role of Devices Senior Executive and, around three years after that, he was appointed Marketing Manager – Customer Value Management.

Between 2014 and 2020, Mr Galea enjoyed three further promotions and appointments: first to Head of Customer Value Management (CVM) – Channels & Capability, then to Head of Customer Experience Strategy, and in April 2020 to Chief Marketing Officer.

Seven months after his appointment as CMO, Vodafone Malta rebranded as ‘epic mt’. This change came a few months after Vodafone Malta was taken over by Monaco Telecom in a deal worth around €250 million.
