Focal Logistics Group has been formally launched as a consolidated logistics entity, unifying the operations of Focal Maritime Services, Greenwaveshipping.mt, Combined Maritime Services and Delta Container Services under a single brand.

The move marks a significant restructuring for one of Malta’s longest-standing maritime groups, as it expands into a fully integrated logistics provider.

Group Chairperson Godwin Xerri described the development as “the culmination of decades of expertise, now coming together under one banner”, emphasising that the transition is anchored in continuity rather than disruption. While the logistics sector continues to evolve rapidly, he said the group’s intention is to strengthen governance, reinforce long-term business stability and position the organisation for the next generation.

According to Mr Xerri, the launch reflects a broader strategic direction aimed at leadership beyond Malta’s traditional port services. He noted that the group enters this next phase with “a clear vision for growth, innovation and leadership across the logistics sector in Malta and beyond”, supported by a refreshed structure and a strengthened management team.

The newly formed group brings together all logistics functions – including multimodal transport, customs clearance and warehousing – into an end-to-end offering managed through a single point of contact. This consolidation responds to growing demand from clients seeking more cohesive and efficient solutions across sea, land and air.

Chief Executive Officer Anton Xerri stressed that the transition is designed to retain operational stability while enabling scale. “The creation of Focal Logistics Group is a natural next step in our journey. Our clients’ needs have evolved, and so have we, offering a unified, customer-centric and future-ready service across the entire logistics chain,” he said.

He added that although the group has undergone a comprehensive rebranding and internal restructuring, its client-facing processes will remain uninterrupted. “While the brand and structure are evolving, existing channels and client touchpoints will remain unchanged to ensure a smooth transition. Clients can expect the same reliability and professionalism – now with an even stronger capacity to deliver,” he stated.

The leadership team of the newly established entity includes Ramona Saliba as Chief Commercial Officer, Jesmond Abela as Chief Operations Officer and Kimberly Camilleri as Financial Controller.

As Mr Xerri noted, the launch combines “dynamic team energy” with long-standing client relationships, signalling a future in which the group intends to leverage its legacy while expanding its regional and international footprint.
