On Wednesday, MaltaPost plc announced that Anthony Bezzina has been appointed as Non-Executive Director of the company, replacing Graham A Fairclough.

Mr Bezzina was co-opted by the Board of Directors following Mr Fairclough’s resignation.

Currently, Mr Bezzina is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Lombard Bank Malta plc. He has been working at the bank for over 43 years.

Mr Fairclough had also held the role of Company Secretary, and was replaced by Mauro Portelli. Dr Portelli presently holds the role of Head of Legal and Compliance at MaltaPost.

While thanking Mr Fairclough for his “long and loyal service to the company”, MaltaPost noted that both appointments came into effect on 14th August 2024.

MaltaPost plc is Malta’s only sole licensed Universal Service Provider of postal services. Furthermore it is one of the country’s largest private employers and as the national postal operator it collects and delivers mail for six days a week and operates through a retail network of outlets.
