Marc Finney has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director at TROO Hospitality, a company based in the UK founded by Maltese Hotelier Winston Zahra.

TROO Hospitality is a white label hospitality management and advisory company providing hotel management, asset management, consultancy and operational support services to hotel owners, investors and developers.

“Marc's appointment represents a significant addition to our leadership team and he will support the ambitious strategic growth objectives that we have set for ourselves,” Mr Zahra said.

Troo Hospitality said that  Mr Finney brings more than 40 years of international hospitality experience with him, and that he is widely recognised as one of the industry’s foremost experts in hotel and resort development, investment advisory and strategic consultancy. “Throughout his distinguished career, he has advised hotel owners, investors, financial institutions, developers and operators across Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and other international markets.”

“I look forward to working with the TROO team to support the company’s strategic ambitions and help unlock new opportunities for growth in the years ahead,” Mr Finney said.

In February, another company headed by Mr Zahra, Finestday Malta plc, launched a €25 million bond issue to finance the expansion of the five-star Stock Exchange Hotel in central Manchester. The majority of the proceeds were to be channelled into the redevelopment of Norfolk House, an office building that is located opposite the hotel, into a 95-room luxury extension.

Both the existing hotel and the planned extension will operate under the Autograph Collection Hotels brand, a global soft-brand owned by Marriott International. Operational management of both is entrusted to TROO Hospitality.
