On Monday (today), Maria Eileen Fsadni announced that she has been promoted to Gallery Manager at Valletta Contemporary (VC).

Ms Fsadni joined VC in 2021 as Personal Assistant to the Artistic Director, a role she held up until her newest position.

“Over the past three years, I’ve been afforded the opportunity for genuine growth within the gallery, having been involved in all aspects of the VC’s work,” she said.

She expanded further that during this time she was involved in the day-to-day running of the space, curation, its publishing division, and the AiR programme, among others.

“As my role continues to evolve, I’m looking forward to the future,” she concluded.

Throughout her career within the industry, Ms Fsadni has worked as a Communications Coordinator at Friends of the Earth Malta and at Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti, as Museum Host at Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum, a Researcher and Gallery Assistant at Artemisia Fine Arts and Antiquities Ltd and as a Gallery Assistant at Victor Pasmore Gallery, among others.

Furthermore, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in History of Art from University of Malta.

VC is an independent exhibition space and art gallery run by the Norbert Francis Attard Foundation, formerly known as the META Foundation. It opened its doors in 2018 and can be found within a 400-year-old former warehouse in Valletta’s lower east end.
