Marija Macelli on Monday announced that she has been appointed Head of Procurement and Logistics at KM Malta Airlines.

She brings ample aviation industry experience to the national carrier, having previously worked at Aviation Cosmetics Malta for more than two years. During that time, she worked as Purchasing Manager and Assistant to the Commercial Director.

Prior to that, she had a five-year stint at Malta International Airport plc (MIA), where she served in a number of positions, including Aerodrome Services Officer, a position she occupied for more than three years.

Ms Macelli holds a Master of Business Administration from University of Derby, as well as a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from Pearson College London.

She describes herself as being capable of expertly handling procurement, logistics, support business development, and nurturing client relationships.

Ms Macelli states that her experience in operations has sharpened her ability to “manage complex situations.” She is passionate about aviation, and eagerly embraces challenges and contributes to the industry’s growth.

KM Malta Airlines was launched on 31st March 2024, a day after previous flag carrier Air Malta was closed. It presently serves 17 airports across 15 key European cities.
