If your ideal evening involves Greek food, a sea view and no particular rush to leave, Malta's exclusive new rooftop destination is one to add to your list.
Cyana opens on Saturday 10th October at the newly launched five-star Hard Rock Hotel Malta, bringing an Aegean-inspired dining experience to the hotel’s 11th-floor rooftop.
With panoramic views of the Mediterranean, St. George’s Bay in St Julian’s as well as Pembroke, the setting gives you plenty to admire. But there’s just as much reason to turn your attention to the table.

Heading the kitchen is Chef Spiros Tzilis, from Thessaloniki, whose career has taken him across Greece, Europe and the Middle East, leading culinary teams and developing restaurant concepts.
His cooking draws on Greece’s rich culinary traditions, combining familiar flavours with seasonal ingredients, modern techniques and contemporary presentation.
At Cyana, that means fresh seafood, fragrant herbs, quality olive oils and charcoal cooking, complemented by Greek wines. An open kitchen and seafood displays offer a closer look at what’s being prepared, while Greek-speaking staff bring another connection to the country behind the cuisine.
There’s also an olive oil welcome experience planned for the opening month. A rather tempting way to settle in.
Open daily for dinner until midnight, Cyana is designed to move with the mood of the day.
As the sun sets, the rooftop takes on a different pace, with cocktails, dinner and music. Whether you’re organising a date night, celebrating something special or simply gathering friends around a table, it’s easy to imagine staying for another round.
And with entertainment, shopping, and nightlife within the wider Hard Rock Hotel complex, there are options to keep the evening going after dinner. The complex features 10 restaurants, numerous swimming pools, and a range of accommodation options.
This isn’t just a destination for warm-weather dining, either. Indoor and outdoor seating, alongside cosy fireplaces, make Cyana a year-round option, bringing the same Greek flavours and rooftop outlook to Malta’s cooler months.
There’s free parking for customers, too, making the journey into St Julian’s a little easier.
To mark the opening, the first 500 guests who make a reservation at CyanaMalta.com will receive an exclusive gift for their table to take home during their first visit. Terms and conditions apply.
