‘Still pinching myself a little,’ says Owen Baldacchino on joining Flutter as Head of AML

Owen Baldacchino has joined global sports betting and iGaming operator Flutter Entertainment as Head of AML and MLRO.

Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Mr Baldacchino described the new role as a “pivotal” step in his career and one he is “genuinely proud to be taking.”

“AML and financial crime compliance in our industry have changed enormously over the years. The opportunity to take what I’ve learned, continue developing, and contribute within an organisation of Flutter’s scale, ambition and international reach is one I’m hugely excited about,” Mr Baldacchino said.

Before joining Flutter Entertainment, Mr Baldacchino spent more than three years as a Faculty Member at Sigma Risk. He has also held positions at evoke, PressEnter Group and Lotto Direct.

In 2007, he graduated from the University of Greenwich with a Bachelor’s degree in Computing.
