threshold

Threshold, anew Malta-based peer network aimed at professionals moving into leadership and management roles has been launched by Mireille Muscat and Nathan Farrugia.

Ms Muscat is a former Melita executive and Founder of Arvoki, while Mr Farrugia is an entrepreneur and leadership coach.

The initiative is targeting professionals at a “business threshold”, including specialists moving into management, entrepreneurs building businesses and employees taking on broader leadership responsibilities.

“Leadership can become surprisingly isolating long before someone reaches the C-suite,” Ms Muscat said.

“As I grew into leadership, I experienced first-hand how valuable it was to have peers to think things through with. But those relationships were often tied to a particular programme or moment in time.”

“What I really needed was a room of peers that stayed. That’s what Threshold is designed to be.”

Mr Farrugia, who currently coaches more than 50 CEOs as an international Vistage Chair, said he had received considerable support throughout his career but had often lacked a consistent network of peers with whom he could discuss ideas and challenges.

Threshold members will be placed into small peer groups known as “Rooms”, which will meet regularly in person under the guidance of a group mentor.

The meetings are intended to give participants a space to discuss professional challenges, test ideas and seek perspectives from people at a similar stage in their careers.

Threshold will hold its first Discovery Evening on 22nd October, where prospective members will be able to meet the founders and learn more about how the network operates.

Attendance is free of charge, and people interested in attending can request an invitation from this link.

Individuals interested in joining, as well as companies looking to support employees moving into leadership roles, can request an invitation through Threshold’s website.
