On World Earth Day, Steve Mercieca, Co-founder of Zanzi Homes and QLZH Foundation and CEO at QuickLets, has shone a spotlight on the importance of environmental activism and his companies’ work in this area.
Mr Mercieca shared how, over the years, they “have been driven by purpose”, having been actively involved in the betterment of Malta and Gozo’s natural environment.
Among their many accomplishments are the planting of over 3,000 trees and the hosting of 40 clean-ups across the islands, the collection of over three tonnes of trash from the seabed, the donation over 250 gifts to hospitals as well as money to multiple causes and NGOs, and raised awareness on gender equality.
Their impact also extends beyond our shores. “We have educated over 6,000 children in Ghana”, “supplied internet to two schools in Accra”, and “raised money for pilgrimages overseas”.
“Our brands, including newly launched QLC, our commercial wing, commit to keeping this up. We commit to growing our Foundation to make a bigger and better impact not just in Malta and Gozo, but on an international level. As our home is planet Earth,” he wrote.
