MIDI has announced that the board has resolved to terminate two senior management officials in light of its organisational structure and operational needs.
In an official statement, the company said it will be terminating the employment of CFO Jesmond Micallef and Senior Project Manager Perit Ivan Piccinino, with effect from 31st August and 30th September respectively. After the terminations are complete the senior management will only consist of the Chief Executive Officer.
The company explained that the decision reflects the reduced scope of these two senior roles following the return of Manoel Island to the Government earlier this year, and as its other major project at Tigné Point (Q3) nears completion.
Following the termination of both roles, their responsibilities will be handled internally by the company.
In its statement, MIDI expressed its sincere appreciation to Jesmond Micallef and Perit Ivan Piccinino for their dedicated service and professionalism.
