Former Project Manager Rachel Micallef took to social media to bid The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise, and Industry farewell after just under nine years of service.

Ms Micallef started out her journey at The Malta Chamber back in 2013 as a Sectors Executive. Almost four years after that, she moved on to become a Projects & Internationalisation Executive and in 2020 she was promoted to Projects Manager.

“What an amazing experience it has been working at The Malta Chamber for almost nine years – a national institution that has grown from strength to strength, that has adapted to its times, that keeps representing its members, and that remains on an unstoppable journey,” Ms Micallef wrote.

“I’m so proud to have been part of that same journey and to have contributed in every way I could. I’m grateful for the trust placed in me and my capabilities over the years by the Board of Management, CEOs and Senior Management, and the relationship I built with our members,” she continued.

The Malta Chamber is the independent voice of the private sector in Malta. Its principle mission is to actively represent companies from all economic sectors and ensure that entrepreneurs enjoy the best competitive environment and regulatory conditions possible.

“I am privileged to have worked with a team of individuals that has slowly become a second family, with whom I spent more time debating issues and implementing solutions and new projects than I did eating,” Ms Micallef noted.

Following her lengthy tenure at The Malta Chamber, Ms Micallef is now working at BCRS Malta as DRS Manager.

BCRS (Beverage Container Refund Scheme) Malta invests in privately funded infrastructure for the collection of single use beverage containers and to make producers and consumers jointly responsible for the recycling of beverage container single-use waste.
