Shawn Muscat on Tuesday announced that he has been named General Manager at Labranda Hotel & Spa.

Prior to his new role, he worked at Urban Valley Resort & Spa for over six years, having most recently served as Cluster General Manager.

In total, he has more than 20 years of hospitality industry experience, having started out in the industry back in 2002 as Junior Rooms Division Manager at Sol Suncrest Hotel in Qawra. Over the years, he went on to work at a number of other hospitality companies, including Island Hotels Group, Radisson Blu Golden Sands Resort, and Hilton Worldwide, among others.

Mr Muscat’s extensive career has seen him work in various senior management positions, as well as some Director-level roles.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from Henley Business School, and also a Diploma in Accommodation Operations from Institute of Tourism Studies, among other qualifications. Mr Muscat is described as being particularly skilled in rooms division, hotel management, customer satisfaction, and operations management.

Overlooking Marfa Bay in Mellieħa, Labranda Riviera Hotel & Spa is a four-star hotel that possesses unspoiled views of the islands of Gozo and Comino. The hotel has a wide range of amenities, including two outdoor seawater swimming pools, an indoor seawater pool, and a spa centre.
