Simon P. Casson has been named CEO of Corinthia Hotels Ltd, replacing Simon Naudi after the latter’s promotion to Managing Director of International Hotel Investments plc, the operating company of Corinthia Hotels.
Announcing the news recently, Corinthia Founder and Chairman Alfred Pisani said that both Mr Naudi and Mr Casson’s appointments further augment Corinthia’s position in the luxury hotel sector.
Mr Casson will be based at Corinthia’s London office in Whitehall and will assume his duties on 6th April.
“I am indebted to the Chairman and Board for their vision, trust and confidence in me. I am humbled and delighted at my appointment as CEO at this important moment for Corinthia Hotels as we boldly embark on a new era,” he added.
He stated that he will be working tirelessly with the team to elevate the company in the luxury space and grow the brand in key global markets.
Mr Casson has over four decades of experience at Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts, during “which he oversaw an unprecedented period of growth.” Additionally, he served as the hotel’s operations in Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) President for seven years.
In his previous role, Mr Casson, was responsible for 42 hotels in 26 countries, and oversaw the opening of new properties in London, Athens, Madrid, Casablanca, Taormina, Doha, Kuwait and the Seychelles.
