James Camilleri, CEO and Co-Founder of local fintech start-up Fyorin took to social media to celebrate his company taking home the ‘Best Innovative Company of the Year’ award at the Malta’s Best-in-Business Awards 2021 ceremony.

“So proud of all the team behind Fyorin,” Mr Camilleri wrote.

“We are a young Fintech company that is looking to re-invent how SMEs interact with financial institutions for business banking to make their payment operations efficient and scalable. To execute this, a strong co-founding team is important,” he continued.

The awards ceremony had another surprise in store for the Fyorin team, as Co-Founder Christian Joseph Agius was also honoured with the ‘Best Start-up Entrepreneur’ and ‘Best Technology Entrepreneur of the Year’ awards.

“I would like to thank everyone who has been part of our journey so far. We look forward to working with more business and financial institutions in 2022,” Mr Camilleri continued.

Founded in 2019, Fyorin was born out of frustration that the company’s Founder’s experienced around business banking – both from an SME and financial institution perspective – as they were working on scaling up other online businesses globally.

Malta’s Best-in-Business Awards pride themselves in being ‘the only business awards program judged by independent panels of prominent Maltese business experts’.

This year’s edition of said awards ceremony took place yesterday, 16th November, at InterContinental Malta.
