Bank of Valletta (BOV) announced the appointment of Theodoros Papadopoulos as its new Chief Digital Officer (CDO) with effect from 13th September.
Mr Papadopoulos’ appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

Prior to his appointment at BOV, Mr Papadopoulos held the position of Director of User Experience at Eurobank EFG in Athens.
From 2011 to 2016, the new CDO worked for Booking.com in the Netherlands first as a Global Hotels Project Team Member and later as a Manager of Strategic Partnerships.
Mr Papadopoulos holds an MSc in Digital Communication and Media / Multimedia from Stockholm University, an MA in International Business (Public Policy) from Sodertorn University, and a BA in Public Relations and Communication Policy from the Technological University of W. Macedonia.
Chairman Alfred Pisani meanwhile said the group will increasingly focus on profitability with a focus on regular dividends.
'The country has the potential to carve out specialised niches in the growing global market.'
Revenue for the year stood at €3.5 million, while equity strengthened to €29 million.
