For busy CEOs and executives, frequent travel is often a necessity rather than a luxury. When flying off for meetings, conferences, or site visits, optimising your travel experience can save time, reduce stress, and keep you productive.  Here are some expert-approved travel tips for Malta’s frequent flyers.  

1. Mastering the art of packing light
 
Mastering your suitcase contents is a must. Invest in a high-quality, carry-on-friendly suitcase to avoid baggage delays. For travel, stick to a versatile wardrobe in a neutral colour palette for easy mixing and matching. Using packing cubes could  to stay organised and maximise space. Keep essential chargers, adapters, and a portable power bank in your carry-on.  

2. Optimise your airport experience

With frequent travel often comes frequent risks of dehydration.Airplane cabins are dehydrating, so drink plenty of water and avoid excessive caffeine or alcohol. If its a long-haul flight, make sure to also move regularly to prevent stiffness—walk around the cabin or do simple stretches. If you need to adjust to new time zones, sync your sleep schedule before departure and using melatonin if needed.

Using apps like Hopper or Google Flights can help track price drops and book at optimal times. Consider flexible or refundable tickets for last-minute changes.  

6. Arrive ready for business
 

Booking a hotel with a reliable gym or wellness facilities will help maintain your routine and keep to grounded. Even with a busy timetable, schedule downtime upon arrival to recharge before meetings, and keep a small toiletry kit with essentials (freshening wipes, toothpaste, moisturiser) for quick refreshes.
