VF Legal has appointed Matthew Farrugia as Partner.

Dr Farrugia, who graduated as a lawyer in 2024, brings experience spanning gaming law, residency and citizenship, intellectual property, company law, and data protection. His appointment comes shortly after completing his early legal training and progressing through roles of increasing responsibility within the sector.

He began his legal career as an intern at LeoVegas and then Lex Group Malta, where he was involved in drafting legal documents, attending court sittings, and participating in client meetings. He later joined E&S Group, where he spent close to three years as a legal assistant and subsequently as a legal associate.

In his practice, Dr Farrugia focuses on corporate and commercial law, with particular exposure to iGaming, intellectual property, and residency-related legal frameworks in Malta.

VF Legal, a Maltese law firm founded in 2020 and recently rebranded, provides legal services to both individuals and businesses operating locally and internationally.
