Vincent Degiorgio on Thursday announced that he has been named CEO at Sunroute Hotels.

His new role comes just six months after he joined the Malta-based hotel company as General Manager.

Sunroute Hotels is the company that owns and operates Hotel Santana, a four-star hotel located in Qawra. The 250-room hotel also features a rooftop pool, indoor pool, a wellness facility, as well as a restaurant and cafeteria.

Mr Degiorgio is a seasoned professional who has a demonstrated history of working in directorship and management positions in the hospitality industry.

Prior to his time at Sunroute Hotels, he had worked as Chief Operations Officer at Dolmen Hotel Malta (now DoubleTree by Hilton Malta), for a year and a half. Mr Degiorgio had also worked at db Hotels & Resorts for more than 17 years in a number of roles, including Executive Director and General Manager.

He also occupied finance-related positions at Mercure San Antonio Hotel and Golden Tulip Vivaldi Hotel.
