Toly Products CEO Andy Gatesy, Prime Minister Robert Abela, Economy Minister Silvio Schembri, and Energy Minister Miriam Dalli visited the aforementioned company’s manufacturing plant in Zejtun to commemorate its 50th anniversary.
Founded in 1971, the Toly Group has become a global powerhouse in the production of make-up, skincare, fragrance, and promotional packaging.
“From humble beginnings, Toly has continued to grow and has evolved into a world-leading supplier to the beauty industry,” Mr Gatesy said.
“Although today we are celebrating our 50th anniversary, I still have the feeling that we are just getting started,” he continued.
The Toly CEO highlighted his gratitude towards the company’s employees as well as the government’s support, which helped the company safeguard its jobs.
In 2014, Toly built new corporate offices with an integrated innovation centre, thus changing the company’s business, and enabling it to exceed €100 million in sales.
Since its foundation, the company has expanded operations to Europe, America, and Asia.
Prime Minister Abela congratulated Mr Gatesy for showing resilience and positivity in light of the adverse reality brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr Gatesy has served as Toly Products’ Chairman and CEO for the past 36 years, having started his journey at the company back in 1985.
