The Malta Football Association (MFA) has recently appointed Zachary Sciberras as a new Board Member, bringing a wealth of legal expertise and a passion for sports to the role.

Dr Sciberras, a warranted Advocate in Malta, currently serves as Senior Legal Counsel at the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), where he has built a career in the legal sector. His professional involvement also extends to the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta, where he is an active Board Member.

With over a decade of experience as an athlete at Sliema Aquatic Sports Club (ASC), Dr Sciberras has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to sports. He also dedicated four years to coaching at Sliema ASC, underscoring his drive to nurture athletic talent and foster a positive sporting environment.

Dr Sciberras’s journey at the MGA began in 2019, where he joined as a legal intern. His diligence quickly led to his promotion to Junior Legal Counsel in 2020, and just two years later, he stepped into the role of Legal Counsel. By 2023, he advanced to his current position as Senior Legal Counsel.

As Dr Sciberras begins his role with the MFA, he brings a background that spans both athletic experience and knowledge of regulatory frameworks in sports and gaming.
