20 senior management officials working within the Public Service are participating in the Executive Leadership Programme, an international training programme led by professionals from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This programme stems from a Memorandum of Understanding signed in Dubai last year.

This was announced during a conference attended by Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Research and Innovation Keith Azzopardi Tanti and Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange of the UAE Abdulla Nasser Lootah.

Mr Azzopardi Tanti explained that through this collaboration with UAE, public service employees are given training that also strengthens the service they provide to citizens.

“This programme highlights the importance of education and continuous professional development. Therefore, we are giving an opportunity to public service employees to continue to grow professionally, enabling them to continue delivering a stellar service to the general public,” concluded Mr Azzopardi Tanti.

Deputy Minister Abdulla Nasser Lootah added that this strategic partnership with Malta stems from the MOU signed between UAE and Malta. He stated that the launch of the Executive Leadership Programme in Malta is proof of the bilateral cooperation between the two governments.

In addition, Silvio Scerri, CEO of the Malta Council for Science and Technology, thanked the UAE counterparts for their support. He reiterated their commitment to further their collaboration with a view to provide more opportunities.
