Giselle Borg Olivier took to social media to celebrate her two most recent appointments – that of Manager at Zaar Crowdfunding and National President at JCI Malta.
“2022 is going to be a big year,” she wrote.
“I’m taking over the management of the foundation where I work, and I’m taking over the National Presidency of JCI Malta. I’m also a single mother / co-parent with no living parents for support,” she continued.
Ms Borg Olivier joined Zaar Crowdfunding back in March as a Projects Manager. Late last week, however, the company announced that she will be succeeding Matthew Caruana as the company’s Manager.
The newly-appointed Manager has also been involved with JCI Malta since early 2020, wherein she joined the organisation as Local Organisation President.
A year later, that is in January 2021, she was promoted to Deputy President and Vice President International. Now, Ms Borg Olivier is set to take over as JCI Malta’s National President.
“I was asked: are you read for it?,” she recalled on social media.
“Who knows? Can we ever really be ‘ready’? But my mantra is that, if it has to be done, then it will be done. Bring on 2022,” she concluded.
Zaar is the first offering of the Foundation for the Promotion of Entrepreneurial Initiatives (FPEI) – an entity set up by the Malta Business Bureau and the University of Malta.
The company prides itself in being a donation / reward-based crowdfunding platform to promote entrepreneurship in Malta and support local start-ups.
