Halmann Vella Group CEO Kevin Rapinett described the celebration of the firm’s 70th anniversary as “a deeply humbling experience” that left him reflecing on the need to continue “to innovate and and shape the architectural landscape with the same passion and dedication” that has defined the company throughout its history.

Starting out as a small tile manufacturing company in 1954, the group has grown to be a leading supplier of natural stone products and related services.

The occasion was marked with an event at Verdala Palace, where guests could enjoy an exhibition chronicling Halmann Vella’s seven-decade journey, featuring artifacts like its very first tile machine from 1954 to its first-ever truck, symbols, the company said, “of our roots in craftsmanship and dedication to enhancing Malta’s architectural landscape.”

Taking to social media to share his reflections, Mr Rapinett said seeing the artifacts was “a powerful reminder of the Vella family’s humble beginnings and the dedication of those who laid the groundwork for where the group stands today.”

Each milestone achieved by the group, he added, “represents the hard work and dedication of so many, past and present.”

Mr Rapinett has served as Halmann Vella Group CEO for the past five years, describing the role as “a privilege” that has allowed to “build on the vision and resilience that started this journey.”

He also expressed a “heartfelt thanks to our customers, employees, suppliers, and stakeholders for their trust and partnership over the years.”
