Martin O’Connell

International Aerospace Coatings Group (IAC) CEO Martin O’Connell praised Malta’s strategic location, describing the establishment of a base on the island as a significant milestone in the company’s global expansion.

“It has been an intensive few weeks and quite a collective effort to reach this point, but it is truly good to be here,” Mr O’Connell said yesterday.

“Establishing our presence in Malta is a significant milestone for our global expansion. Malta’s strategic location allows us to offer an even more convenient hub, further strengthening our long partnerships with our customers.”

IAC, a California-based aircraft servicing firm founded in 1980, set up a Maltese base at the Safi Aviation Park following the eviction of Dutch firm Aviation Cosmetics Malta (ACM)

As part of its lease, IAC has agreed to retain all 58 workers who were previously employed by ACM.

Mr O’ Connell said that IAC is delighted to welcome these workers into the fold.

“They are joining an operation that will be busy all year round, ensuring stable employment for the future,” he remarked.

International Aerospace Coatings, founded in 1980 is a global leader in aircraft painting and aviation services, operating 10 facilities across the USA and Europe and processing over 800 paint events and 800 aviation services projects annually.
