One year after relocating from the UK to Malta, Bracket Co-Founder Alex Charles has described the move as a pivotal step for both his family and the company’s European expansion.

In a recent LinkedIn post, Mr Charles reflected on the decision to move his family over 2,800 kilometres to Malta, noting that it has “safely been the best move” they have made. He highlighted improvements in quality of life, including shorter commute times, favourable weather, and his children’s integration into local schools.

Beyond the personal dimension, Mr Charles indicated that the relocation has coincided with a period of growth for Bracket’s European operations. He noted that Bracket EU has expanded its team to 12 employees, with plans to hire an additional eight people in the second quarter of the year.

The company is also preparing to open a third office in Sliema: a continued commitment to scaling its presence in Malta. Mr Charles credited local institutional support as a contributing factor, pointing to assistance from Malta Enterprise and government-backed investment.

While acknowledging that relocating a family abroad involves a degree of uncertainty, Mr Charles described the experience as a “leap of faith” that has ultimately delivered both personal and professional benefits.
