Mr Mercieca will also be assuming the role of Secretary of the company’s Audit Committee with effect from the same day.

The newly appointed Company Secretary is succeeding Laragh Cassar, who will be resigning from his current position on 25th July. Dr Cassar will retain his role as Independent Non-Executive Director of Hili Properties.

Hili Properties owns and manages strategic commercial real estate for lease in several European countries, including Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, and Romania. Its portfolio comprises business blocks, office space, healthcare facilities, and grocery-anchored shopping centres, amongst others.

Its portfolio value currently exceeds €180 million.

Hili Properties is a subsidiary of Hili Ventures – a Malta-based conglomerate with stake in the hospitality, finance, marine, retail, and real estate industries, amongst others.

Last month, Mr Mercieca was appointed Company Secretary at another two Hili Ventures companies: Premier Capital plc, wherein he succeeded Geoffrey Camilleri, and Hili Finance, wherein he succeeded Dorian Desira.
