Dana Farrugia, CEO of Tech.mt, took to social media to mark three years since the entity’s foundation.
Launched in 2019 by the Government of Malta and the Chamber of Commerce, Tech.mt is a public-private partnership that seeks to promote Malta as a tech centre for innovative technologies.
Ms Farrugia has been at the entity’s helm since its foundation.
“Building Tech.mt from scratch has been an incredible journey and a huge achievement,” she wrote.
“A vibrant, energetic entity that strive to promote Malta as a Technology Hub of choice, while growing its own relevance and presence – a difficult and steep but reward race against time and a pandemic,” the CEO continued.
Tech.mt has been the driving force behind a total of 14 projects in the past three years, the most recent of which being the Valletta Tech Summit.
Scheduled to take place on 27th and 28th April, this event aims to put Malta on the map for international stakeholders of the technology industries by inviting international and national speakers, exhibitors, and attendees.
Other Tech.mt projects include the Women4IT partnership, the annual eBusiness Awards, and BeSmartOnline! – the National Safter Internet Centre for Malta.
Prior to joining the entity, Ms Farrugia, who also serves as Director at Malta Enterprise, occupied the roles of Private Secretary at the Ministry for the Economy, Investment and Small Business and Sales and Account Management Manager at GO Business.
She was previously Head of Marketing and Public Relations at the Malta-headquartered law firm.
