Christian Sammut

After BMIT Technologies reported a record €36.5 million revenue for the year ending 31st December 2025, its CEO Christian Sammut reflected on the listed company’s growth over the past decade.

Mr Sammut has been the CEO of BMIT, one of Malta’s leading IT providers, since August 2011 when it was fully acquired by GO plc.

While growth in some of BMIT’s more traditional business areas, like data centre services, has slowed down, the local tech company has more than compensated by focusing on other areas.

“Cloud services, professional services, and cybersecurity more than compensated for maturity in traditional data centre services, while our tower infrastructure performed ahead of expectations,” he said.

And Mr Sammut said that this wasn’t by accident, but followed a decade of deliberate choices about where technology markets were heading and where BMIT could create differentiated value.

BMIT’s revenue in 2025 grew by 8.7 per cent compared to 2024, with €32.3 million coming from data centres and managed IT services.

It said its growth was driven by strong demand for cloud services, professional services, and cybersecurity solutions.

Meanwhile, its Mobile Network Towers segment, managing close to 300 sites, made up revenue of €4.3 million in its second year of operations, performing ahead of expectations.
