On International Firefighters’ Day, Alan Borg, CEO of Malta International Airport, has praised the work and efforts of the airport’s Rescue and Fire-fighting team.
“I would like to thank all members of Malta International Airport plc Rescue & Fire-fighting team for consistently carrying out their duties with pride and dedication,” he wrote.

Marking the occasion was the addition of two Rosenbauer Panther 6X6 fire trucks to the MIA’s fire-fighting fleet, enhancing its rescue and fire-fighting capabilities significantly.
This follows an announcement last year of the arrival of a Panther 8X8 rescue truck, which formed part of the MIA’s investment programme, totalling €3 million.
